Liz Griffin BA (Hons) FGA DGA
Senior Valuer & Cataloguer
Liz is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (FGA) and achieved their prestigious diamond diploma and diamond grading course with distinction, also winning the Gwyn Green awarded for the highest exam results in the Midlands area. In addition, Liz has obtained gemmology qualifications from the GIA and the Cultured Pearl Association.
After a number of years privately buying and selling gemstones and jewellery, Liz left a successful teaching career to pursue her passion for jewellery. She considers herself very lucky to have a career that she loves, where she is always learning and where she never knows what rare and beautiful pieces she’ll get to see next.
When not working for Griffin’s, she can be found browsing mineral shows or reading up on her other avocation, medieval and Tudor history. Liz is a member of the society of jewellery historians.
